Tips to a Successful Videoconference

To insure an interactive videoconference it is essential that students do the pre-activity and have all materials for the videoconference

Room set-up is very important. If possible speakers should be placed around the room and students should set toward the middle of the room so they can be seen on the camera

It’s a great idea to have students make large nametags to put on the desk or hold up when they have a question. This makes the videoconference more personal

For first timers, you may want to explain to the students that we can see and hear everything they do. It is important that students do not talk all at once because the sounds will become muffled through the microphone

Last but not least it is very important to express to students that the questions and comments is key for a successful videoconference
