Camp-Ins

At HealthSpace Cleveland we don't call them "sleep-overs"-- because who sleeps?!

Basic Information:

Minimum: 30 Campers (small groups may be combined to reach the minimum)

Who Is Invited? Youth & church groups, Girl & Boy Scouts, school groups, birthday parties, and other groups looking for a fun, healthy time! Each group of 10 kid campers muct bring 1 adult chaperone.

Maxmimum: 75 Campers

Cost: $35 fee for each child camper. Creepy Camp-Ins are $40 per child. Adult chaperones for any camp are $20.


A camp-in includes:

  • Admission to the exhibit galleries, Head First! Theater, and parking in our lighted lot
  • A variety of health-related programs, plus scavenger hunts, relay races & exhibit exploration
  • An overnight stay with your friends and HealthSpace Cleveland staff
  • Dinner, snack and breakfast

CHECK OUT OUR SPECIALTY CAMPS!

"CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE" CAMP-IN
If you have a group of 30 campers or more, we'd like to invite you to check out our program offerings under the "Day Out" category and choose two for your campers to experience. Of course, you'll also get to participate in scavenger hunts, relay races, and think hard in the HeadFirst Theater, too.

CREEPY CAMP-IN
Welcome to a really disgusting Camp-In! During your stay, you and your fellow campers will learn some of the grossest, most disgusting, yucky, slimy, and coolest things about your bodies, and how to keep them safe and sound. Be prepared to get down and dirty as you dissect fresh organs, make snot & experiment with your own DNA among other things.
Suggested age minimum is 6 years old for the Creepy Camp-In.
Cost is $40.00 per child camper to cover extra materials.

BROWNIE GIRL SCOUTS "TRY-IT" CAMP
Earn 2 "Try-It" badges during your overnight adventure - choose from "Eat Right, Stay Healthy", "Healthy Habits", "My Body", or "Senses"! All of our programs are aligned with the National Health Education Standards, and we will provide materials for the activities in each "Try-It" category. Of course, you'll get to have fun in the exhibits, learning about the amazing human body.

JUNIOR GIRL SCOUTS "HIGHWAY TO HEALTH" CAMP-IN
To earn the "Highway to Health" badge, you will complete "Sincerely, Your Body", "Sleepy Head", "Germ Busters", "Don't Explode", "Mirror, Mirror", and "Take Care of Your Teeth". You'll also experience some of our unique programs, and have lots of time to explore the exhibits on the Road to Good Health.

JUNIOR/CADETTE GIRL SCOUTS "GIRLS TO WOMEN" CAMP-IN
Welcome, young women! This specialized camp for maturing Girl Scouts will focus on 6 activities matched with the Junior Girl Scout Badge Book. Be better prepared for puberty! Campers will experience our unique teen-focused programs, and earn the special HealthSpace badge.
